Chapter 368:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
When I couldn’t take it anymore, I walked away from everyone and went to the cellar. I grabbed a bottle of wine, poured myself a glass, and went to the backyard to continue feeling sorry for myself, not wanting to disrupt everyone’s happiness with my mood.
“Do you need some company?” A voice asked behind me, and I looked back to see Queen Carina standing behind me with a smile.
“Your Highness, what brings you here?” I stood up and bowed.
“I saw you coming this way, and I followed you,” she said, sitting down on the bench beside me. She motioned for me to take a seat next to her. “I couldn’t help but notice that something is wrong with you and Asher, and it’s bothering you.”

“Is it that obvious?” I chuckled.
“Yes, very obvious,” she nodded. “Do you want to talk about it? Who knows, I might be able to help.”
She might not be able to help in any way, but talking to someone about it would certainly help my mental health.
“We were planning on setting a date for our wedding, but I don’t think that will be happening anymore because I told him I’m not ready to have kids.”
“Because of your job?” she asked, and I nodded.
“Asher is fond of kids, and he turns into a different person when he’s around them.” I laughed at the memory of Asher playing hide and seek with a bunch of kids in the park. “He was planning on buying this huge house so we could move in and raise a bunch of kids after we get married.”
“In my opinion, I believe he should be able to wait for at least three years to have kids if he truly wants to be with you,” she advised.
“You also think six to seven years is too long,” I chuckled as I sipped my drink.
“Why would you want to wait six years after your marriage before having a child?” She raised her eyebrows at me. “Is that what you told him?”
“I only implied that I won’t consider having kids until I retire as a model, and I’m not sure when that would be. With the way things are going, it might take six to seven years, or even more,” I explained.
“Now I see where the problem is,” she nodded in understanding. “For a man like your husband, who adores kids, it won’t be hard for him to agree to that condition.”
“So you think I’m in the wrong here?” I said with a sad expression.
“No, dear,” she placed her hand on my shoulder. “A woman has every right to decide what happens to her body.”
“So what should I do?” I asked in a pleading tone.
“I’m going to give you three scenarios that this situation between you two might end up in, and you decide which one you think you can live with,” she said, and I shifted my body to turn to her, listening attentively.
“One, you two decide to go separate ways. Two, he agrees to your condition because he loves you and doesn’t want to let you go. But later, he starts feeling the need to have a child of his own, especially when he sees his friends with their kids or Estefan bonding with his child. It might push him to have a child with someone else and end up breaking your marriage. And it will be your fault for putting your career over your marriage.” I shook my head at the second option.
“Three, you compromise and live happily with the love of your life,” she smiled as she said the last one. “A woman’s happiest moment is holding her baby in her hands for the first time. The joy is unmatched in this world.”
She stood up and squeezed my shoulder. “Choose wisely.” She walked back inside, leaving me to ponder her words.
