Chapter 665:

She nodded and was about to go with him to cut the cake when Beta Bruno rushed toward them.
“Alpha, we are under attack! The Hailey Wizard Coven wants to take over our pack!”
Upon hearing that, everyone was taken aback.
Dane’s eyes darkened as he heard the news. His gaze darted around the hall, searching for a specific person. He was surprised when he couldn’t find him. “Griffin? Where is Griffin?” he yelled in anger.
Ava was stunned. She turned her head to look for her brother, but surprisingly, he had not come to the party that night.
She hurriedly dialed his number, but Griffin didn’t answer her call.
“Is Brother Griffin in danger?” she asked, fear in her eyes.
She recalled how the official wizards had beaten him when he tried to save her last time.
“We need to go and fight them before they start using their power on us,” Beta Bruno said to Dane.
Dane growled in anger and stormed out of the hall.
Ava watched as every pack fighter and guard followed him. The witches and wizards who had gathered to celebrate the Alpha’s birthday also joined in. Ava realized that the pack was full of witches and wizards, but only a few had come to attend the party. It was obvious the others were planning the attack.
Freya rushed out of the hall. Ava noticed her and tried to follow her to stop her. Freya was a Beta female, but right now, she was drunk. There was no way she could fight against witches and wizards. That was why Ava wanted to stop her.
But before she could act, Angela dashed over to Ava and grabbed her wrist, preventing her from going after Freya.
“Ava, don’t go. Stay in the hall with us.”
Ava frowned at her. “Mom, I need to go and fight for my pack. I’m a hybrid. I’m a werewolf, and I have witch’s powers too. I’m stronger than them.”
Angela shook her head and hugged her tightly. “No, don’t go. What if something happens to you? What would I do? How would I live without you?”

Ava kissed her mother’s head and broke the embrace. She cupped Angela’s cheeks and said, “Mom, you’ve been hiding me from this pack for years. You were always afraid for my life. But now it’s time for me to help my pack. I can’t hide or stay behind anymore.”
After saying that, Ava dashed toward the forest. Angela stared at her as her hand slipped away from hers. She sobbed, unsure of what to think. Gamma Harper came over and hugged her, offering her a shoulder to cry on.
It would have been safer for them and Ian’s parents to leave their rival pack, but since Ava was there, they decided to wait until the battle was over.
When Dane and his officials reached the point where they could see the witches and wizards, he was astounded.
The pack fighters growled at the witches and wizards, their fierce presence enough to send a clear message. They only needed one order from their Alpha, and they would act immediately.
