Chapter 667:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Dane was taken aback beyond words. Did Ian come here to support him in the war?
“Why did you save me?” Dane asked, though he knew Ian wouldn’t hear him.
Dane assumed Ian wouldn’t listen, given that he couldn’t shift or use his wolf form at the moment.
But unexpectedly, Ian turned his head toward him and replied, “My woman loves you. How could I watch her cry when you die?”
Dane was in disbelief.
How could anyone help his rival just for the woman he loved? Was Ian even real, or just a fool in love?
“Alpha Ian, your life is in danger. You’re already injured. You should leave.”
Loud growls echoed from ahead, and Dane stopped. He turned his head and noticed a group of wolf shadows in the moonlight approaching from afar. They were coming from the border—the border of the Red Moon pack.
Dane was too shocked to react.
The roars from the enemies could be heard. They weren’t prepared for this. They had thought they could easily kill Dane and take over the pack, assuming he didn’t have many fighters with him.
Little did they know, their Alpha’s deadly rival would come to support him himself.
Dane muttered, “They…”
When the wolves charged toward the wizards and began biting them, Ian smirked and said, “From the Red Moon Pack. That pack, which you neglected a few days ago, reminds me that the pack isn’t far from yours. Looks like now that pack will be the savior for your pack.”
On the other side of the forest, Ava was starting to lose her patience. She kept running barefoot, but she couldn’t find Dane. She wanted to shift, but couldn’t because of the cut on her waist.
She remembered Griffin saying that the knife had touched her blood, temporarily halting her wolf abilities.
As soon as she arrived at the battlefield, she was confronted by a group of witches who attempted to stab her.

This caused Ava’s eyes to turn green as she engaged in a fight, using her abilities to strike back. She grabbed a knife from the ground and began to fight with the enchanted weapon.
On her way forward, two wolves helped her push through. She turned to one but couldn’t recognize him. When she saw the other wolf, she realized it was her brother Stephen, along with Ronald, fighting some other wolves.
“You all are here!” she exclaimed.
She looked at them in confusion. This wasn’t their war. Did her brother come here for her? Had her parents sent him?
She wasn’t so badly injured that she couldn’t connect via the mind link, so she questioned them.
“What exactly are you doing here?”
Ronald rushed toward the other wolves, fighting as he went, ignoring her question. Stephen shrugged his body, shaking the brown fur from his back, and replied, “Ian ordered us to help Alpha Dane in the war. He called for the pack fighters from the Red Moon pack for help. That pack is next to yours, so it came at just the right time.”
