Chapter 2140:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
But Kenia only looked at her calmly and said, “I came here today to tell you one thing. From now on, I will pretend I never took you in. Whatever happens to you in the future has nothing to do with me anymore. I won’t shed another tear for you. Asking Belinda to forgive you? That’s impossible. I will never leave any danger by my granddaughter’s side. From now on, you’re on your own.”
After saying that, she turned around and walked away without giving Sarai a chance to reply.
“Kenia! Please don’t leave!” Sarai cried out desperately. “Do you know what Lucas plans to do to me? He wants to send me to Silmorath to become a prostitute! You know what kind of place that is. Can you really do nothing and watch me get sent there?”
Kenia stopped walking, but not because she felt sympathy for Sarai. Her expression stayed completely cold. “Didn’t you once agree to send Belinda to Silmorath, too? This is the punishment you deserve. You should accept it.”
This was the thing that enraged her the most.
Sarai had agreed to send Belinda to a place like that.
Even if the idea hadn’t originally been hers, she had still agreed to it.
The moment she accepted it, her heart had already become rotten beyond saving.
Kenia believed that someone that cruel did not deserve even a shred of pity from her.

She walked away without looking back.
“Kenia! Kenia!” Sarai yelled desperately, hoping Kenia would show her even a little sympathy.
But Kenia didn’t turn back.
Sarai completely broke down. She collapsed to the floor and sobbed uncontrollably.
She knew her life was finished.
If even Kenia refused to help her, then no one else would.
She had brought all of this upon herself.
After Kenia emerged, Belinda and Lucas quickly got out of the car and walked over to her.
“Kenia…” Belinda gently called out as she held her arm.
Kenia forced a faint smile and calmly said, “Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. From now on, no need to tell me anything related to Sarai.”
“Alright.” Belinda nodded quietly and did not say anything else.
The ride home was silent.
After arriving home, Belinda and Lucas escorted Kenia back to her room before returning to theirs.
“Lucas, do you think Kenia is really okay?” Belinda still looked worried.
Lucas gently comforted her, saying, “It’s normal for her to feel sad. But after meeting Sarai one last time, I think she’ll slowly come to terms with everything. Don’t worry too much.”
Belinda nodded. “I hope so.”
Lucas said, “Go take a shower and get some rest. You haven’t been sleeping well these past few nights.”
But instead of leaving, Belinda suddenly turned toward him. A smile slowly spread across her lips as she unexpectedly said, “Lucas, let’s get married.”
Lucas went still, staring at Belinda as if he could not believe what he had just heard.
When he finally spoke, his voice shook slightly. “What did you say? Belinda… can you say that again?”
His reaction made Belinda laugh softly. A warm feeling spread through her chest as she smiled at him. “Lucas, let’s get married. I want to be your wife.”
“Belinda, you…” Lucas was still struggling to process her words.
He could not understand why she had suddenly changed her mind.
