Chapter 2141:

Looking at him gently, Belinda said, “Do you know what I kept thinking about after Sarai and the others kidnapped me?”
Before Lucas could answer, she continued, “I knew you always had people secretly protecting me, so I wasn’t truly worried about my safety. But I still kept wondering… what if this kidnapping hadn’t been part of our plan? What if I had really been taken away? What if they had sold me to Silmorath? If that had happened, my biggest regret would’ve been not marrying you sooner.”
Her words hit Lucas deeply and shook his heart.
Belinda continued, “Lucas, I love you. In this life, you’re the only person I want to be with. Before, I was too timid. I kept hesitating because I was afraid to take that step. But now, I understand that from the very beginning, you’ve always been the one I wanted. I’m not afraid anymore. I want to build a happy family with you, a family that belongs to us. I want the whole world to know that you are my husband, the man I love.”

She looked at him expectantly. “So, let’s get married. What do you think?”
“Yes! I also want us to get married!” Lucas nodded eagerly and pulled her into a tight embrace.
His body trembled slightly from excitement.
“Belinda, I’ve dreamed about this day for longer than you know. Hearing you finally let go of your fears, open your heart to me again, and choose to marry me means everything to me. I’m grateful fate has given us another chance instead of letting us lose each other. I love you so much. Come on, let’s get married right away!”
As he spoke, he started reaching for his phone to make arrangements.
“No need to rush.” Belinda quickly stopped him. “It’s already late. We’ll get married tomorrow morning.”
Lucas hesitated. “But I—”
Belinda gave him a firm look. “Just listen to me.”
“Alright,” Lucas nodded obediently.
He suddenly felt a little frustrated. “I haven’t even proposed to you yet, and I don’t have a ring prepared.”
Belinda smiled. “You can buy the ring later. And there’s no need for a proposal. We’ve been together for so many years already, after all. We don’t need the formality.”
Lucas thought the ring could wait, but the proposal still mattered to him.
Even so, he kept the thought to himself and simply nodded. “Alright. We’ll do it your way.”
The moment Belinda went to take a shower, Lucas immediately took out his phone and made a call.
Belinda was sleeping soundly when her phone suddenly rang in the middle of the night. It was Bethany calling.
“Hello…”
“Belinda, how are you still sleeping when Lucas is making such a huge scene right now?” Bethany sounded unbelievably excited.
“What are you talking about?” Belinda was confused.
“You seriously don’t know?” Bethany exclaimed. “Every LED screen in Owathe is displaying the words ‘Belinda, will you marry me?’ Lucas just pulled off the craziest proposal ever!”
“What?” Belinda instantly sat upright, completely awake.
