Chapter 2142:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“Looks like he wanted to surprise you. Congratulations. You’re finally marrying him again.” Bethany laughed.
Belinda could not stop herself from smiling. After chatting with Bethany a little longer, she ended the call.
Turning her head, she saw Lucas lying beside her with a satisfied smile on his face. With affection, she said, “Didn’t I already tell you there was no need for a grand proposal?”
Despite her words, she was genuinely happy.
Lucas spoke softly. “Other women get grand proposals, so of course you should have one, too. Sorry, I didn’t have much time to prepare. This was the best I could do.”
“It’s already perfect,” Belinda replied as she threw herself into his arms.

Lucas held her tightly, lowered his head, and kissed the top of her hair gently. “Go back to sleep.”
“Goodnight.” Belinda closed her eyes.
The next morning, when she woke up, she found Lucas still lying beside her, staring at her without even blinking.
Dark circles hung beneath his eyes, making it obvious he had barely slept last night, yet his eyes were bright and full of excitement.
“Belinda, do you remember what you promised me last night?” he asked hopefully.
Seeing his eager expression, Belinda suddenly felt like teasing him.
She blinked innocently on purpose. “What? What did I promise?”
Lucas’ expression instantly dropped. He quickly sat up. “You… you really forgot?”
Seeing the panic on his face, Belinda could not keep teasing him any longer. “I’m joking. Of course I remember. I promised to marry you. We’re getting married today.”
Only then did Lucas finally relax.
Belinda wrapped her arms around him and comforted him gently, saying, “Alright, alright. I shouldn’t have teased you like that. Let’s get out of bed, wash up, and have breakfast. Then we can go get married.”
Lucas’ expression softened.
He had been far too excited to sleep the entire night and had spent hours simply watching her.
The more he looked at her, the more he felt in love with her.
At last, she had agreed to marry him. She was finally going to become his wife.
After getting ready, Lucas had Margie pack breakfast for them to eat on the way because he could not wait any longer.
When they arrived, they naturally attracted countless stares.
Part of it was because they were both exceptionally attractive, but many people also recognized who they were.
Once they finished registering their marriage, Belinda and Lucas thought what they were feeling was completely different from when they got married for the first time.
Lucas was so overwhelmed with happiness that he lifted Belinda and spun her around excitedly. “We’re married! You finally married me!”
Belinda laughed happily as well. After a while, she lightly smacked Lucas on the shoulder and said playfully, “Alright, alright, if you keep spinning me around like this, I’m really going to get dizzy.”
