Meanwhile, Hayley made her way back to the project department.

“Ms. Morgan!” Violet rushed over at once. The worry on her face was clear even before she could speak.

“I’m perfectly fine.” Hayley smiled to reassure her. “What’s happening right now is just a small disturbance. It cannot affect me. However, since I’ve been dismissed, you shouldn’t stay by my side for now.”

“No, I’ll stay with you.” With a firm shake of her head, Violet spoke without hesitation. “Everything I have today came from the chance you gave me. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am. No matter what happens, I’ll follow you. Wherever you go, I’ll go.”

A trace of warmth flickered in Hayley’s eyes. She lifted her hand and rested it on Violet’s shoulder, her expression softening.

She’d seen Violet clearly from the start. This woman was truly loyal.

“Ms. Morgan!” As soon as the news reached him, Willie rushed over. “The board has already issued a notice stating that you’ve been removed from all your positions. They also instructed us to prepare a public statement announcing that the company is cutting ties with you.”

When I worked under Harold and his son, they treated me like I was nothing. But you’re different. You treat me as an equal. That’s why I want to continue working with you.”

A brief look of surprise crossed Hayley’s face. Willie’s response had caught her off guard.
