Chapter 1121:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
A heavy silence settled over the room before Xander made up his mind. He turned to his assistant, his tone crisp and commanding. “Double the surveillance. I want eyes on Connie at all times. Brixton may be a nightmare to everyone else, but he still has a shred of tenderness left for his little sister. If we keep tabs on her, we might finally draw him out.”
“Understood.” The assistant nodded and hurried off to carry out his instructions.
Left alone in the empty lab, Xander wandered over to the window. Years ago, he had devoted himself entirely to developing the biochip, driven by the purest of intentions. He had wanted to heal the damage left by Brixton’s early traumas, to use technology to help his son rediscover empathy, love, and perhaps even redemption. Instead, he and Brixton had become sworn enemies.
What Xander had once dreamed would be a light in the darkness had been twisted into a weapon, something Brixton now used to accumulate more wealth and power than ever.
“Brixton… how much longer are you going to hate me?” Xander muttered to himself. He remained still, gazing into the empty distance for what felt like ages.
Meanwhile, over at the Luminara Group.
Under Hannah’s expert leadership and flawless strategy, Allurism weathered the storm of controversy and market pressure. Backed by top-notch product quality and a textbook crisis PR campaign, sales did not merely recover, they soared. The brand quickly became an industry sensation, seizing a huge share of the market and catching everyone’s eye.
To mark this hard-fought triumph and energize the team, the executives announced a lavish celebration to be held in two days.
Cheers erupted in every department as word spread. Employees who had been running on nerves for weeks finally felt a wave of relief.
But the break was short-lived. Soon enough, everyone was back at work, pushing ahead at full speed.

Inside the CEO’s office, Hannah was on a video call with the Marketing and Product leads, putting the final touches on the gala’s program and the company’s next steps.
No sooner had she ended the meeting than the intercom buzzed. “Ms. Scott?” Meagan’s voice came through, tinged with uncertainty. “A woman named Danica Jones is here at reception. She says she wants to thank you. How would you like me to handle it?”
Danica? Here to thank her? Hannah raised an eyebrow, weighing her options. “Let her wait in the reception room.”
“She’s insisting on seeing you in your office,” Meagan added quietly.
Hannah’s brow furrowed, but she finally relented. “All right. Send her up.”
A short while later, a knock echoed at the door, and Meagan showed Danica into the room.
In such a short span of time, Danica had changed almost beyond recognition. The flashy, over-the-top outfits she once favored were nowhere to be seen. Instead, she wore a simple gray skirt suit, neat and modest.
