Chapter 483:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Micah’s brows furrowed as he contemplated the question.
Ryan waved off the glass of cocktail offered by another guy seated near him.
Leo Castillo was more Ryan’s friend than Micah’s.
He was with Ryan when Micah called and insisted on tagging along. Emilio carried himself with an air of superiority, exuding an aura of entitlement and arrogance.
He wore a condescending smirk as he listened to Ryan trying to talk some sense into Micah.
Growing impatient, he gestured with a dismissive flick of his hand. “Damn it, what’s wrong with that Darya woman? Doesn’t she know what’s best for her?”
Ryan’s expression changed dramatically, but it was too late to prevent the situation from escalating.
Emilio, oblivious to the sudden chill in the air, continued, “Who does she think she is? The McAllisters are nothing compared to the Cavanaughs!”
Patting Micah on the shoulder, Emilio clicked his tongue. “And she’s just a woman you didn’t want anymore. She’s like a worn-out, second-hand shoe. No one wants her in the marriage market. You can have dozens of women younger, smarter, prettier than her. Why keep pining after her?”
Ryan clamped a hand over Emilio’s mouth, desperately trying to salvage the situation. “Stop talking! Just stop!”
Micah’s hand clenched around his glass, his anger palpable.
He lifted his head, his eyes dark and filled with a terrifying fury. Micah’s glare cleared off some of the cobwebs in Emilio’s alcohol-addled mind.
His haughty expression turned to shock as he realized his mistake.
He attempted to apologize, but it was too late.
A wine glass flew towards him, narrowly missing his eyes and shattering against the wall.
Emilio hissed in pain.

His hand flew to his face, where blood was seeping out from a cut on his left cheek.
The room fell silent, everyone too afraid to speak.
Emilio sat trembling in his seat, his face pale and his body shaking. Micah stood up and approached him, looking down at the quivering figure.
His voice was cold and suffocating. “With a mouth as filthy as yours, do you really think you’re worthy of mentioning Darya?”
Ryan, alarmed by Micah’s intentions, hurriedly intervened, grabbing Micah’s arm and leading him to a sofa.
“Sorry, everyone. He’s had a bit too much to drink. Please continue. I’ll talk to him,” Ryan said, wearing a forced smile as he dragged Micah away.
The onlookers, well aware of Micah’s temper, dared not say a word. They quickly escorted the frightened Emilio out of the room, leaving behind a scene of chaos, with blood and spilled wine mingling on the floor.
