Chapter 775:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
As Zaria listed Gracie’s sacrifices, Lorenzo found himself lost in thought.
It was all his fault. If only he hadn’t betrayed Gracie, if he hadn’t let go of the donor heart that should’ve belonged to Paulina, maybe things would have turned out differently.
Gracie gave a faint smile.
People never truly valued what they had until it was gone.
Did Zaria really think that bringing up those memories would change her mind? She was mistaken. It only made Gracie even more determined.
Norene couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Ha, what good is it now, realizing Gracie’s worth? Why don’t you ask her if she’d still want to be your daughter-in-law, even if Lorenzo and I were to divorce?”
At Norene’s words, Zaria turned to Gracie.
“Gracie, since Norene came into our family, I’ve come to realize just what a wonderful daughter-in-law we’ve been missing. If you’re willing, I’ll make sure Lorenzo divorces Norene and gets back together with you.”
Lorenzo felt his mother’s words stir some displeasure, but deep down, he couldn’t help but hope for Gracie’s answer.
Did she still have feelings for him?
Just as Gracie was about to speak, a cold, commanding voice rang out from outside the door. “Who do you think you are, trying to take what’s mine?”
Everyone’s eyes shifted toward the door.
Waylon walked in, his face showing clear signs of anger.

Gracie briefly met his gaze before quickly looking away.
Zaria couldn’t help but shiver, and a fawning smile immediately appeared on her face. “I was just kidding with Gracie earlier, Mr. Hughes. Please don’t take it seriously,” she said.
Waylon’s cold gaze moved over Zaria, making her feel a chill run down her back.
Lorenzo lowered his head slightly and greeted, “Mr. Hughes.”
Joseph, who had been daydreaming, instinctively flinched when he saw Waylon and started to retreat.
He retreated.
His fear of Waylon ran deep, something that had been instilled in him long ago. A glimmer of light flashed in Norene’s eyes as she swiftly moved to Waylon’s side.
“Mr. Hughes, you’re finally here. I’ve gotten Joseph out in the open. You should have someone grab him now,” Norene said.
Lorenzo and Zaria exchanged confused looks.
Joseph’s terrified expression changed as he heard Norene’s words.
He locked his gaze on her, his eyes sharp.
