Chapter 1067:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
Andrew’s expression was unmoved. “There’s no need.”
He wanted to see whether Cathryn would truly keep pushing him toward Kyla. He was certain she wouldn’t be able to endure it — that eventually, she would come back to him.
Amanda called soon after, having already heard the gossip. “What exactly is going on? Are you serious about Kyla?”
“Yes,” Andrew answered casually. “You might even get a great-grandchild out of it. Doesn’t that make you happy?”
Amanda’s voice sharpened. “You idiot! Get those videos off the internet immediately. If this scandal starts shaking the foundations of Brooks Group, don’t think for a second you’ll escape the consequences!”

Andrew said nothing. In the end, all Amanda cared about was Brooks Group’s market value. He was different — the only thing that mattered to him was whether Cathryn would come back. He intended to use the situation to force her to confront her own feelings.
“Have your people take down that video,” Amanda ordered.
“Everything is under control,” Andrew replied. “You don’t need to worry.”
He would wait. The moment Cathryn came to him and admitted the gossip had gotten to her, he would erase the videos at once.
Meanwhile, Cathryn kept scrolling through the headlines, quietly hoping they would disappear. To her, their removal would mean only one thing — that Andrew had chosen to cut ties with Kyla and didn’t want their names tangled together in the public eye.
But reality refused to oblige. The rumors only multiplied, and stories about her infertility and Kyla’s pregnancy flooded every platform. Countless people sided with Kyla, mocking Cathryn for being unable to have children and declaring it was only natural for a man like Andrew to stray.
The internet split into factions and turned the whole thing into a spectacle. One side wagered Andrew would never divorce Cathryn; the other insisted Kyla would eventually replace her. Those who stood by Cathryn were pitifully few — less than ten percent of the voices. The rest had already made up their minds.
For the first time in her life, Cathryn felt completely abandoned, as though the entire world had cast her aside and everything around her was caving in at once.
Then an email arrived in her inbox with a voice recording attached.
She opened it. The phone immediately filled the room with the sound of deep, uneven breathing and a woman’s quiet moans. The man’s voice was thick with urgency. “Kyla…”
Cathryn would have recognized that voice anywhere. She knew Andrew’s tone too well.
“Mr. Brooks,” Kyla murmured in reply.
Andrew’s breathing grew heavier. Kyla’s moans grew louder.
Cathryn sat perfectly still. The rumors had already been a blow, but hearing the sounds themselves was something else entirely — it struck her like lightning, leaving her mind completely blank.
The recording filled the silence around her, and Cathryn stumbled to the trash can beside the bed and retched.
