Chapter 1211:
🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙 🍙
“What’s wrong?” Lowe asked, noticing her troubled expression.
There was no immediate reply from the other party. Kimberly glanced up at Lowe, her face tight with tension. “Levi’s been kidnapped. The other party threatened me…”
Demanding I bring Chris to their location.
Lowe’s brow furrowed upon hearing this. As he recalled the man who carved wooden sculptures in a wheelchair, he couldn’t help but feel a wave of concern rush through him. “What do we do now? Do you have any idea where Chris is?”
Kimberly let out a frustrated breath. “If I knew, would I be going through all this trouble?”
Lowe was silent for a few seconds, his gaze shifting uneasily. Then, his voice dropped to a more serious tone. “Would you like me to send someone to take care of this?”
Kimberly shook her head. “Let’s not act rashly. This isn’t just some random person; it’s clear that Chris is their real target. We should wait and see how things unfold.”
Kimberly pressed her lips together, her gaze locked on the phone screen, anxiety written across her face. At least she knew where Levi was now. She just needed to figure out how to resolve this predicament.
A new message from Eulalia flashed on Kimberly’s screen.
“Do you honestly expect me to believe you? Remember, Kimberly, we’re mentor and apprentice. We’ve known each other for fifteen years. I know you well, and I’m also familiar with my adversary, Chris. He will get in touch with you. I’m taking Levi away for now. I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow at noon. If you call the police, you’ll regret it.”
Kimberly’s gaze turned icy as she read the threatening message. After a long pause, Kimberly finally typed her reply. “Okay, I understand.”
A few seconds later, Eulalia’s reply came through. “I’ll be waiting for you, then.”
Kimberly didn’t respond further. She handed the phone to Lowe, who had been watching her quietly. Lowe’s expression turned grim as he went through the conversation.

“Do you need my help calling the police?”
“We can’t bring the police into this,” Kimberly said, putting her phone away. Her face turned serious as she added, “At least not for now.”
Lowe frowned. “What do you mean?”
“Hold off until our wedding tomorrow. If Chris shows up, I’ll head to Sunset Cliff with him. Your task will be to get the police there in time.”
Lowe’s brows furrowed even deeper after hearing Kimberly’s plan. “And what if he doesn’t show up?”
Kimberly’s eyes dimmed. She didn’t want to consider the possibility, but she knew she had to. Levi’s life was at stake.
She paused for a moment before meeting Lowe’s gaze. “Then I’ll go alone and find a way to deal with her. You and the police take action based on the situation.”
“No. That’s too risky!” Lowe stated, immediately rejecting the plan. He stared at her, his eyes fixed on her delicate face. “I can’t let you gamble with your life like that.”
“Lowe, trust me. I have a plan to deal with her.”
